Facial redness has always been a bit of a problem for me. What with my Rosacea and such fair skin, I have the tendency to look like a tomato.
Last week I took it upon myself to finally utilise my Boots Advantage Points that I have been accumulating for the past year and I picked up two items to help tackle my redness.
Both are from Clinique and so far I love them!

Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder.
This is described as 'a lightweight, loose, yellow mineral powder that immediately reduces redness and visible capillaries on skins with persistent or reactive redness. Can be used both under or over make up.'
I have been using this as a finishing powder with a big powder brush (not the small retractable brush provided) and it has worked well at both reducing the redness on my face and keeping my face shine free throughout the day.
This powder costs £24 for 24g but I think that it is worth every penny so far.
Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base SPF 15
Clinique says - 'protects skin from UVA/UVB exposure that can aggravate skin with persistent or reactive redness. Does it without chemical sunscreens. Comforting, oil free make up primer with a sheer green tint visually corrects redness and evens skin tone. 100% fragrance free'
I am already a big fan of Clinique's Super City Block SPF40 as a daily sunscreen and even a primer and this product reminds me of that but with a green tint and not as thick. I have been using this as a primer after my moisturiser and before foundation and it has been working well at combatting my redness.
This costs £14 for 40ml.

Although both of these products are very bright on application, they blend into the skin well and do not leave any tint of colour on the skin.
Neither of these products have aggrevated my skin at all, which is kind of a miracle as I normally suffer with Clinique products.
Do you suffer with similar problems and use anti-redness products? If so, what works for you?
NB - It has just been suggested on Twitter for me to post photos before and after using the anti-redness products. This will be posted shortly.

I am also rosacea sufferer, lately with exam stress and the whether my skin has been awful. Hopefully it will settle down in a few weeks, at present t just looks like I am having hot flushes 24/7!
I have tried the clinique anti-redness set thingy, got it for xmas last year, it contains a moisturiser, the daily base and a cleanser. I didn't like the cleanser or moisturiser (actually I am trying out some dermologica right now, which is working out really well) - but the base is good, nice consistency and SPF. Infact I need to go get a new one.
I'm not sure if I would use the powder though, I always end up making powder look cakey. The best thing I have found so far is MAC blot powder - which aain reminds me I need to pick another one up!
Other than that I find eating well and being stress free is the only way to manage my skin. I know it will never be perfect, and that used to upset me a lot, but I realise there are more important things in life :-)
Sorry that was a bit of a ramble!
xx
Oh my, I wrote 'whether' instead of 'weather'. Seriously, I am more than 2/3 into getting a degree! Uber fail!

Great review! I am curious about these products!
I haven't tried any products from the anti-redness line, but definitely tempted, at least as far as their loose powder goes - imo Clinique make great loose powders!
xx
This is really helpful, thank you! I always go so red for no reason sometimes and it's horrible, especially on nights out :( which would you say is more effective, the powder or cream, I will definitely get at least one of them x
@Nicola I prefer the cream because I have drier skin. I would suggest that you go to a Clinique counter and get them to try both out on you. That's what I did but still I ended up taking both of them x
@Cat I agree on the eating well and trying to be stress free. My rosacea is triggered by certain food plus wine; which is a shame as I do enjoy a glass or two but then end up rather red on a night out.
Woo I ended up trying this out, I did really like it but I also tried the number 7 version and went for that in the end purely because I had a voucher for it and it's soo good! I will put it to the test on the weekend when I drink, see if it can conquer the blotchyness! xx
